I've been hearing it for years, you've been hearing it for years - "If Lundo's there, you know you're at the right party." WELL ALRIGHT THEN, here's your chance to be where it's happening. If you've got something else to do Wednesday night, fuhgettaboutit. Steve Blush and I have lined up some great bands to rock your night, starting around 8 PM. Check the Don Hill's calendar for times.
Eggplant Queens This seven-piece band delivers hard-hammering syncopated rock. Three very different lead singers alternate, antiphonate, and join as one voice to give this bunch a unique wild sound. Watch for flying eggplants, beer, firecrackers. See some pics at EQ.
Sea Monster "...biker blues, sounds like the Stooges & Dolls. Thick-neck rock. Very well produced to give it the fat man's punch, working man, beer drinking punk rock. I really thought these guys should have been on the 'Mad Max' soundtrack." (Maximum Rock'N'Roll) Graduates of the school of hard knocks... face first. Dues paid to the year 3000. Check out photos at SM.
Crusade Crusade's performances teeter on the brink between calculated coolness and mayhem. Tapping into an emotion that lies somewhere between hatred and loss working the band into a frenzy which has often been confrontational and destructive. Exhibiting total lack of faith in humanity and the willingness to burn it down and start again.
ElevenToEleven I don't know this band, but I trust Steve's taste!
13Even Philadelphia's premiere aggressive rock band offers some of the most exciting musicianship to come out of the City of Brotherly Love in a long time. Their sound is a melodic, aggressive groove, packed full of energy with hints of influence from Incubus, Slayer, Dream Theater, and Faith No More.
And of course, you'll also be treated to countless wonderful tunes between the sets as I spin from my hard disk collection to please you.
